Gorewear is a leading innovator in high-performance running and cycling apparel, excelling at wind and water proof gear.

The new range of windbreakers includes the Concurve, Fernflow and Spinshift. Each windbreaker features a remarkably soft, supple, and highly breathable recycled fabric.

Gorewear takes a problem-solving approach to product design, constantly striving to enhance comfort and performance for recreational and elite runners and cyclists. These new windbreakers address the dread “wet cling sensation” common with traditional windbreakers as an athlete begins to sweat.

“GOREWEAR is unwavering in its commitment to addressing consumer needs through material technology and design,” said Jason Zambotti, Global Business Leader at Gorewear. “Our range of new windbreakers is the latest example of this commitment, with comfort rising to the forefront in order for athletes to focus on achieving their best performance.”

Solving the problem of wet cling was the primary objective, but Gorewear went further in creating the most comfortable windbreaker ever, designing each windbreaker style with its signature Kinetic Garment Design. This optimizes how each individual jacket moves and flexes with the body’s natural movements while running or cycling, allowing the jacket to practically disappear while out on the roads and trails.

Concurve Windbreaker – For Runners

The Concurve windbreaker is the latest addtion to Gorewear’s running lineup. Lighter and more breathable than the Concurve Gore-Tex Jacket, the COncurve windbreaker is intended for three-season comfort and protection against wind as opposed to full waterproof protection. Available in men’s and womens at an MSRP of $100 USD.

Editors Notes

While these jackets are freshly released we have had the chance to get a few miles under them and things are looking good. So far with few days feeling more like spring then winter, things are looking good for the new Fernflow and Spinshift windbreakers.

Dusten: “I have found myself pairing the Fernflow with a long sleeve thermal base layer and staying plenty warm down into the low 40’s and when things are starting to heat up, the large side zip pockets double as a great way to bring in some fresh air flow to your core without having to unzip the front.

The fit couldn’t be any better for myself. Frequently I find myself sizing up on long sleeve garments to get proper length for the arms, but this size large is absolutely spot on.

The material is light and most importantly comfortable. I’m a big fan of windbreakers and have a few in rotation based on activity. NONE of them offer the same level of comfort and softness as the Fernflow. The outside embodies the familier windbreaker material, but the interior has a microfiber-esque soft touch material. This is what you can point the finger at to help with the moisture wicking.

I’d say they’ve successfully conquered the infamous “wet cling sensation”, no more sticking to your skin when things heat up. “
