On February 21, Canyon will introduce our acclaimed Precede:ON e-Urban bikes to America, entering the market with three class-leading models that range in price from $2,999 to $4,299*.
For anyone who longs to ditch their car or simply ride to the supermarket without showing up sweaty and smelling like last week’s dirty laundry, each Precede:ON delivers with massive Bosch-supplied power, a blazing max-assisted speed of 28 MPH, and the kind of sophisticated design that Canyon is famed for.
When the Precede:ON originally debuted in Europe, it’s streamlined silhouette immediately garnered design awards. Our top-of-the line ($4,299) Precede:ON CF 8 sports a full carbon frame and fork, and undeniably sleek aesthetics. The bike is also loaded with a full range of smart features, including a cleanly integrated Ortlieb rear rack, sturdy aluminum fenders, Shimano XT drivetrain, swank Bosch Kiox color display, and powerful Supernova Mini 2 Pro headlight. Last but not least, the CF 8’s Bosch Performance Line Speed drive unit produces a hill-crushing 85 NM of torque that make quick work of the kind of climbs that normally leave you coughing up a lung and/or cursing gravity.
We are also rolling out two affordable models that are anything but “entry level”. Our $2,999 Precede:ON 5 and Precede:ON 5 ST (step-through) models both boast advanced aluminum frames, with integrated batteries, svelte cockpits, powerful hydraulic disc brakes, and the proven power (75 NM of it, to be exact) of Bosch’s Performance Line Sport drive unit. As with their carbon sibling, both Precede:ON 5 models feature racks, fenders, lights and Shimano drivetrains as standard equipment. And, yes, the alloy bikes also boast a max-assisted speed of 28 MPH.
All three Precede:ON models will be available to consumers, exclusively on canyon.com, beginning February 21, 2023. The Precede:ON CF 8 will be available exclusively in the “Anchor Grey” colorway and sloping top tube frame configuration. The Precede:ON 5 and Precede:ON 5 Step-Through aluminum models will both be available in our “Champagne” frame finish.
