Kick lukewarm to the curb
Not your grandpas old Stanley, the Tiibo bottle is a double walled vacuum insulated stainless water bottle that fits bottle cages. The natural flow spout is nothing like water bottles of the past, and there’s no squeezing involved.
Tiibo launched this new collection of water bottles in July of 2024. Determined to offer a bottle that changes the way cyclists hydrate. “We are proud to provide a product that not only meets the functional needs of our customers but also aligns with our commitment to sustainability. We believe these bottles will enhance every cyclist’s journey, making hydration effortless and enjoyable.”

The Lab
The Tiibo bottle can be thought of as three important parts. A 304 food-grade stainless bottle. A BPA-Free Polypropylene cap, and a food-grade silicone nozzle and tube.
The bottle itself is a lightweight double-wall vacuum insulated keeping cold drinks cold (12+ hours) and hot drinks hot. Ya, we tried it, coffee on the go. Although lightweight, it’s highly durable and can take it’s fair share of tumbles. The outer coating is a durable scratch-proof coating, but it is suggested to make attempts to limit unnecessary wear if you want to keep it looking fresh.

Tiibo has a high flow nozzle. Tip it back and let it go, no squeeze necessary. The nozzle does close, preventing spills even on the roughest terrain.
There are two sizes to choose from a 17oz and a 23oz. The 17oz measures 9.6 inches tall with a 2.9 inch diameter. The 23oz measures 11 inches tall and 2.9 inches in diameter. Both fit into bottle cages nicely. I would suggest a synthetic cage over a metal one if you’re looking to keep the scuffs to a minimum.
These bottles are dishwasher safe, unlike many of our classic bottles that tend to lose shape.

Are stainless bottles the future?
Stainless bottles are not groundbreaking anymore, but there may just be some excitement left.
The Tiibo bottle, unlike my Hydroflask, fits all my bikes, making it the only stainless bottle that comes on rides with me. Sure, there may be a weight penalty but I’m riding for smiles and miles and a few more grams isn’t going to change that. Hot drinking water 40 miles in to a summer ride, THAT WILL.
Hot or cold, many of my rides almost magnetically have me cruising by the coffee shop and those paper to go cups are just a no-go when you need to get back on the bike. Having both a 17 and 23oz bottle, the 17oz has likely had more coffee in it than water over the last few months. It may not sound to exciting, but getting a hot coffee to go and being able to fit it into a bottle cage and it’s still piping hot when you get home has a way of helping keep the day going smoothly.
The upsides are evident. Cold or hot, it is effective for hours and hours. What I enjoy most is opening the nozzle (by pulling up) and just being able to tilt it back for a full flow. It’s as close to drinking out of a cup as it gets. No need to squeeze it to get a big drink in as quickly as possible.
My younger self would be rather confused that I have grown so fond of something like this, but here we are. After countless miles and thousands of miles over the years, there’s room to be excited about a water bottle. Especially one that truly is different than the normal bottles I’ve used for years.
It can’t all be cupcakes and ice cream though, right? Well it’s a bottle that holds liquids and fits bottle cages, there’s not much downhill. The nozzle has a bit of a learning curve, not necessarily in function, but in the design and how it differs from a traditional bottle that you may be more familiar with. The real downside is compatibility with full suspension bikes. Being a bit longer than a normal bottle of the same volume, the nozzle has a way of not quite fitting every frame.
If you’re looking to add some flash to your ride, maybe make some of the guys jealous on your group ride, subtly drinking from a Tiibo will definitely get the conversation going. All the while you’re enjoying your water, or coffee, the way you wanted. ![]()
