A Comfortable, Confident E-bike Built for Everyday Riding
Here is something new from Gazelle — the EasyFlow C7. This Dutch-designed commuter e-bike puts a spotlight on comfort, accessibility, and everyday practicality. It’s not your typical Gazelle silhouette, but it’s absolutely a Gazelle when it comes to quality, craftsmanship, and smooth, dependable performance.
An Ebike Built for Ease
The EasyFlow C7 is a Class 1 ebike with pedal assist up to 20 mph, powered by the Shimano EP5 mid-drive motor which delivers up to 50 Nm of torque. It’s paired with a Shimano 7-speed Nexus internal hub, offering low maintenance gearing that’s perfect for flat terrain and light hills. The removable Shimano battery sits on the frame and features smart battery management for consistent power delivery.
Everything is controlled through a Shimano display, which makes it easy to toggle assist levels and view ride data. Rounding it out are 24 inch wheels wrapped in Schwalbe Big Ben Plus 2.15” tires. It has an adjustable Gazelle Switch handlebar stem, and integrated LED lighting front and rear. There’s also a rear rack with the MIK system rated up to 59 pounds, front and rear fenders, and a built-in lock.

Design and Ride Position
One of the first things you notice on the EasyFlow is its ultra low step through frame. It’s designed for effortless mounting and dismounting, ideal for city riders who stop frequently or anyone who prefers an easy, stable start. You don’t have to swing your leg high or worry about balancing while getting on. Just step through and go.
The pedal position sits slightly forward, creating a relaxed, cruiser-style feel. Combined with the upright seating position, it delivers a comfortable and confident ride that’s approachable for riders of all skill levels. The adjustable stem allows you to fine tune your bar height for either a classic Dutch-bike stance or a really in any position you like.
Even the wide comfort saddle was comfortable, soft without being overly plush. On a 15-mile ride, there wasn’t the usual soreness that I get from wider saddles.
Motor and Performance
Out on the road, the Shimano EP5 motor offers smooth and quiet pedal assist. In the lowest assist level, it provides just enough boost to make riding easy while maximizing range. During testing, we logged around 20 miles on a single charge with two bars still left on the battery, plenty for daily errands or a relaxed cruise around town.
The Nexus 7-speed hub provides a practical gear range for rolling terrain, though shifting under load takes a little getting used to. Like most internally geared hubs, it prefers a momentary pause in pedaling when shifting, something riders will get used to after a few rides.
With 50 Nm of torque, the EasyFlow isn’t built for steep mountain climbs, but it handles moderate hills better than expected, especially in the higher assist modes. On flat terrain, cruising comfortably at 14–15 mph in Eco mode feels natural and efficient.
City Utility and Comfort Features
Gazelle clearly designed this bike for urban riders and daily commuters. The rear rack easily handles groceries or panniers, and the integrated lock adds security when making quick stops. Integrated front and rear lights, a bell, and a side mirror round out a thoughtful commuter setup that keeps you visible and aware in traffic.
Because of the low center of gravity and compact frame design, the EasyFlow feels stable at both low and high speeds. Even over 20 mph, it remains smooth and predictable, never twitchy, a plus for riders who value control over sportiness.
Ride Experience
Riding the EasyFlow feels relaxed, stable, and predictable. The forward pedals and upright bars give you a “cruiser” sensation that’s ideal for casual rides, errands, or commuting through city traffic.
Handling is smooth, and the smaller 24-inch wheels make maneuvering through tight areas or crowded paths simple. The mirror and bell are smart touches for those busier bike lanes and paths. Gazelle clearly designed this with accessibility in mind, it’s a bike anyone can hop on and feel confident riding from day one.

Final Thoughts
At $3,999, the Gazelle EasyFlow C7 sits in the premium commuter category, you’re paying for refinement, craftsmanship, and long-term reliability. The frame quality, integration, and finish are exactly what you’d expect from Gazelle. It’s not a flashy or e-bike. Instead, it’s about comfort, ease, and reliability. With a network of Gazelle Dealers at physical bike shops, you can also go into a shop to test ride the bike or bring it back for service in person.
If you’re looking for an everyday e-bike that’s easy to get on, comfortable to ride, and built to last, the EasyFlow C7 deserves your attention. Perfect for riders who value comfort over aggression, or those wanting a stable, low-maintenance setup for city life.
Gazelle may have taken a new design direction with this model, but after spending time riding it, it’s clear they knew exactly who they were building it for. The EasyFlow C7 might not be for everyone, but for the right rider, it’s an excellent fit. ![]()
